The organization is a volunteer-operated and community-supported meeting place which opened in the year 2008.Since its inception, the center began collecting books to create a public library. Today the library contains over 1,000 books in English and Spanish. After that, volunteers arrived to help with improvements on the house (building tables and shelves, painting murals) and creating workshops (Art, English, and Gardening).
