In addition to coordinating volunteers, we are actively engaged in our own projects in environmental education and water, and we increasingly conduct networking activities and capacity building for our local partner organizations.
In Nicaragua, there are many committed and competent environmental activists and organizations. Through our diverse commitment, we want to support committed people and initiatives in Nicaragua and to sustainably raise environmental awareness among the population.

Networking activities and capacity building
With our networking activities, we focus on a mutual exchange of knowledge and experience, and on bilateral support. Together, we plan and organize environmental protection/protest campaigns oriented towards the needs of local people, show concrete recommendations for action, and arouse media attention.
Our projects and campaigns
With our own projects and campaigns, we want to strengthen the environmental commitment among the population and motivate local volunteers to be actively engaged in environmental protection. Our current projects are as follows:
“Amigos de la Naturaleza” – Our environmental education centre in Granada is a space for experiencing, learning and sharing
“Unidos por el Agua” – Our campaign as part of the U.N. World Water Day since 2012
“Club Verde” – A group of young, committed people from Granada who work voluntarily for a clean and beautiful city
“EcoArte” – Development of environmental awareness in an artistic way
